W czerwcu położyliśmy stępkę pod ponton transportowy budowany przez Stocznię WISŁA dla własnych potrzeb. I nie minęly cztery miesiące, a ponton już jest gotowy! A jego budowa jest wydarzeniem bezprecedensowym w Stoczni WISŁA, do tego bezprecedensowe były też poszczególne etapy budowy: - jest to pierwsza konstrukcja pływająca zbudowana przez StocznięWISŁA na własne potrzeby, do tego powstała w całości w Stoczni WISŁA - od projektu koncepcyjnego, poprzez projekt techniczno-konstrukcyjny aż po dokumentację wykonawczą.  Dokumentację w całości wykonało Biuro Projektowe wraz z Działem Konstrukcyjno-Technologicznym Stoczni WISŁA, - jest to najcięższa konstrukcja wykonana w Stoczni WISŁA, - jest to najdłuższa konstrukcja ładowana metodą zsuwania na ponton transportowy, - po raz pierwszy konstrukcja wykonana w Stoczni WISŁA była własnymi siłami (metodą zsuwania) przeładowywana z pontonu transportowego na dok pływający na którym w dalszym etapie była wodowana.  Prawidłowe balastowanie dwóch konstrukcji pływających - pontonu transportowego i doku pływającego, połączonych znaczną masą o przesuwającym się środku ciężkości było zadaniem na miarę XXI wieku.  Z zadaniem tym musiał poradzić sobie nasz kolega konstruktor korzystając ze swojego wieloletniego doświadczenia, co jak widac na załączonych zdjęciach w pełni mu się udało. Tak więc zdobyliśmy kolejne doświadczenia, które mamy nadzieje przydadzą się w dalszej działalności Stoczni WISŁA. Natomiast ponton SW 6118, o długości całkowitej 60,75 metra, szerokości 18,2 metra i wysokości bocznej 4,5 metra, na stałe wpisze się w pejzaż Stoczni WISŁA, i ostatecznie uniezależni plany transportowe Stoczni WISŁA od dostępności pontonów.

In June we have laid the keel for the transport pontoon built by Stocznia WISŁA for it's own needs. And no more than four month have passed, and the pontoon is ready! And it's construction was an unprecedented event in Stocznia WISŁA, what's more unprecedented were also the different stages of production: -  it is the first floating construction built by Stocznia WISŁA for it's own needs, and what is more it is built by Stocznia WISŁA entirely on it's own - from conceptual studies, through technical and construction design up till workshop drawings.  The whole documentation was done by Stocznia WISŁA's Design Office and Construction-Technological Department, -  it is the heaviest construction ever built in Stocznia WISŁA, -  it is the longest construction loaded by sliding onto a transport pontoon, For the first time a construction built by Stocznia WISŁA was by ourselves (by sliding) reloaded from the transport pontoon onto a floating dock on which it was launched at a later stage.  Proper ballasting of two floating consructions - transport pontoon and floating dock, joined together by a significant mass with a moving center of gravity was a real challenge.  And this challenged was coped with by one of our Constructors on the base of experience which he has gathered over many years, and as we can see on enclosed pictures he was fully successful. So now we have another experience, which we do hope to take advantage of in the future activities of Stocznia WISŁA. And the pontoon SW 6118, with length overall 60,75 meters, breadth 18,2 meters and height 4,5 meters, will now become a unseperable part of Stocznia WISŁA image, and will finally make the transport plans of Stocznia WISŁA independent from availability of pontoons.

Nie mamy możliwości zwodowania konstruckji tej wielkości w Stoczni WISŁA, tak więc pierwszy "kontakt" z woda naszego pontonu musiał się odbyc za pośrednictwem innego pontonu	We do not have the possiblity to launch a construction of this size in Stocznia WISŁA, so the first "contact" with water had to be done through another pontoon
